RBC Heritage: Who has a chance?

Last week at Colonial, we saw the return of golf at the Charles Schwab Challenge. There were a number of letdowns from top players, including DJ, Webb, Rickie, Phil, all of whom did not make the weekend. Webb was a common choice by many experts to win because of his stellar performance early in the season before everything was canceled.

As expected, many relatively unknown players performed well due to having no fans and a lack of pressure because of that. None other than Daniel Berger benefitted from it the most, winning the tournament. Also playing well was Collin Morikawa, who had a chance to force a second playoff hole, but missed a five footer.

Although many big names faltered, others succeeded, playing their way into the top 10. Among them were Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, Gary Woodland, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, and Jordan Spieth. Spieth, who hasn't won since the 2017 Open Championship, clearly took the hiatus from the season seriously, working hard over the break to try and get back to his once dominant ways.

Any number of players could win this weekend, as shown at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week, and the field is just as stacked with top talent as well. I expect the winner to come from: Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, and Justin Thomas.
